Tarek Alnatur’s Campaign Priorities

I’m running for City Council because I believe in a vibrant Clifton, one where everyone has access to reliable services, quality housing, safe streets, and the businesses they want right in their neighborhoods.

Responsible Budgeting. Real Accountability.

Clifton is facing a serious budget deficit, and business as usual is not responsible. I will bring proven budgeting experience to City Hall to restore fiscal discipline, cut waste, protect taxpayers, and secure Clifton’s long-term financial stability, because every dollar matters.

Flooding and Infrastructure Before It Gets Worse

Flooding and failing infrastructure threaten our homes, roads, and quality of life, and ignoring it will only make it worse. I will push for smart infrastructure investment, proactive maintenance, and coordinated planning to protect neighborhoods, reduce flooding, and build a stronger, more resilient Clifton.

Wealth & Local Business

Strong local businesses are the backbone of a thriving Clifton. As a small business owner who has spent years working with local organizations, nonprofits, and families. I understand how critical city support and smart policies are to helping businesses grow and create good local jobs. When we invest in Clifton’s small businesses, we strengthen our neighborhoods, grow our economy, and build a community that thrives from the inside out.

Youth & Seniors

I believe every child in Clifton deserves a fair opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed, and that our seniors deserve to age with dignity, safety, and the support they’ve earned. Our Clifton public schools help shape our future and strengthen our local economy, but strong neighborhoods are also defined by how well we care for the generations who built this city. By investing in families, students, seniors, and the schools and services that support them, we can build safer neighborhoods, expand opportunity, and create long-term stability for Clifton.
I will advocate for smart investment in education, youth programs, senior services, and community partnerships that protect every generation and help Clifton continue to thrive.

Public Safety

Everyone in Clifton should feel safe living, working, and spending time in their neighborhoods. By investing in smart, community-focused safety strategies, we can strengthen trust, focus on prevention, and ensure reliable, timely emergency response.
I will support community-led public safety efforts, youth programs, and infrastructure improvements that make Clifton’s streets safer, while prioritizing smart investment, efficiency, and accountability.

Streets & City Services

Everyone in Clifton deserves safe streets, walkable sidewalks, and reliable transportation that connects our neighborhoods. The condition of our roads, sidewalks, and public services is one of the clearest signs of whether city government is working, and in too many areas of Clifton, long-needed infrastructure improvements have been delayed for far too long.
If we want Clifton to thrive, our infrastructure must connect residents to opportunity, schools, jobs, and the local businesses that serve our community. I will push for better infrastructure and fair, responsible investment in city services across every neighborhood in Clifton.

Constituent Services and Responsive Leadership

My commitment is simple: be present, work hard, and make sure every voice in Clifton is heard. I believe effective leadership starts with listening, clear communication, and taking action—because city government should be accessible, transparent, and accountable to the people it serves.
I will hold regular town halls, attend neighborhood and community meetings, and offer open office hours so residents always have a seat at the table. Each year, I’ll work alongside the community to build shared priorities and use that input to guide the decisions and policies I advocate for on City Council.
